I made my first real (unintentional) continuity error for today’s post. The strip I’m putting up here was never supposed to exist but soon after finishing what is now Friday’s strip, I realized that Bixby had magically returned to the group invading F.R.A.G.G.L.E. headquarters and I never explained that he and Dug gave up their search for Lolo. Oops.

So, I had to do a new strip that explains–in the first panel nonetheless–that they are giving up the search and heading back.

Also, I’m playing around with a new font here. I’m not sure if I’m totally sold on it. I don’t like the bold case and that alone could be enough of a reason for me to scrap it. I’d really like to make my own handwriting into a font if I can ever sit down and spend the time on it, or better yet I’d like to pay somebody who is a skilled letterer to build a font for me that is loosely based on my handwriting. That would probably be easier and have a much better result.

The font change is only part of some of the changes I’m testing out here over the next couple strips. You’ll see that Friday’s strip–once today’s strip–is pretty different from the standard art that I’ve been doing. Now that I’ve had some time to review it, I’m second guessing some of the decisions I’ve made but…well…I suppose that you’ll just have to judge for yourself on Friday.
